Main » News » News of CCI KR » A committee on energy has been created at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.


The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Temir Sariev, met with representatives of the energy industry and said that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic is an organization that unites all businesses in the republic. Sariev stated that the chamber not only lobbies for the interests of entrepreneurs but also protects them from various illegal encroachments. He expressed his pleasure that representatives of such an important industry as energy have turned to the chamber and believes that the new committee will actively promote the relevant agenda.

Representatives of energy companies noted that urgent issues related to renewable energy sources need to be addressed. They stated that the role of renewable energy sources has significantly increased in the context of the energy deficit, and it is no longer possible to delay the resolution of a number of problems in the creation of a full-fledged cluster of renewable energy sources. The committee on energy also discussed the need to determine the TNVED code for equipment intended for the industry, as well as the proposal to include hydrogen technology and some equipment used in the construction and operation of small hydropower plants in the TNVED codes. It was emphasized that it is vital to significantly simplify the legislation so that the allocation of land and water for renewable energy sources becomes barrier-free.

After discussing a range of issues, the decision was made to create a Committee on Energy at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.  was appointed as the committee's chairperson.
